Speeding Driver Collides with Turning SUV
Authorities have reported that the accident was caused by a man speeding northbound on Bardstown Road. This driver collided with an SUV that was turning out of Bardstown Falls Road, where a woman was sitting as a passenger. The impact of the collision was severe, scattering debris across both sides of the busy thoroughfare and prompting the closure of the roadway.Emergency responders from Louisville Metro EMS and the Fern Creek Fire Department were quickly dispatched to the scene. Tragically, the woman in the SUV was pronounced dead at the scene. The SUV driver, a man, had to be extricated from the vehicle by firefighters and was subsequently transported to UofL Hospital with serious injuries.
